WHERE: Stanley Park Pavilion

The One Day Experience
We are at a pivotal time – for both humanity and the natural world.
Our disconnect from nature could not be more acute. We are living as if we are disconnected from the natural world. Held captive by technology and consumption we are forgetting that we are intrinsically part of the natural world. We exist within nature and nature exists within us.
We must begin to relearn how to co-exist and thrive together within our fragile and resilient ecosystem.
Learning how to connect with nature and utilize it’s embodied intelligence, strength and resilience through practices of metaphor and integration has never been more important for our own health and those that we care for in our professional practices (counselling, aged care, nursing, social work, education, plant medicine work, etc.)
Join Nature Based Therapy Founder, Kit Kline, and NBT Accreditation graduate, Sheryl Hanula, a glorious day of diving deep into the Fundamentals of Nature Based Therapy in Vancouver’s Stanley Park.
Together we will experience the co-creation of community where we will explore narrative discussions and experiential processes that are based in reflective nature practices, that honour ancient wisdom practices that colonialism tried to eradicate. You will gain a deeper understanding of how nature is both the container and catalyst for innate and intelligent health. Everything that you will experience and learn can be applied to all aspects of your personal and professional life. Each participant will have the opportunity to share their experiences to further enhance the outcomes.
Surrounded by the beauty of Stanley park, nourished by healthy foods, like minded peers and experienced facilitators each day will offer calm, reflection, presence practices and instruction in nature reflections, nature based mindfulness, nature journaling and creative arts based interventions. You will be guided through evidence based processes that will facilitate the implementation and integration of new patterns of healthy behaviour in yourself and those that you work with.
To deepen and honour what we have learned, our together will close with a tea ceremony that is grounded in reflection and integration.
Nature Based Therapy is a powerful integrative practice that works to solidify profound personal changes, allowing for improvements in mental health and wellbeing.
Join us and take the leap into a biophilic way of living, working and being.
