In the heart of a fast-paced, often overwhelming world, this half-day retreat offers a grounding return to self and to nature. Why This is for You

  • Forest

You feel overwhelmed or anxious and are ready to try a gentle, nature-based approach to well-being.  You want time to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and breathe deeply.  You’re curious about mindfulness and nature connection and seek a supportive space to explore them.  You want practical self-regulation tools that blend ancient wisdom with modern neuroscience.    You seek clarity and insight from the natural world.    You value community connection and meaningful conversations about sustainable self-care.

The One-Day Experience

In today’s fast-paced world, we often disconnect from ourselves, each other, and the natural world. This one-day retreat invites you to remember, return, and reconnect. Led by Kit Kline, founder of Nature Based Therapy, and Sheryl Hanula, a certified nature-based wellness facilitator, you’ll engage in a day of reflection and healing at Vancouver’s VanDusen Botanical Garden.

Explore the Fundamentals of Nature-Based Therapy, which sees nature as both a healer and teacher. Through guided mindfulness, nature reflections, and group discussions, you’ll discover how nature mirrors our inner world, providing clarity and resilience.

This retreat is beneficial for both personal well-being and those in healing professions like counseling, social work, and education. You’ll learn to integrate these practices into both your life and work.

Expect to experience:

Nature-based mindfulness and reflection practices

Group discussions honoring ancient wisdom

Shared meals and conversations

Tools for integrating insights into daily life

A sacred space where nature and storytelling connect

More than just a day of relaxation, this retreat is about coexisting with nature and each other. It’s an opportunity to embrace a way of living where connection to nature is central to our healing. Whether you’re seeking new tools as a professional or peace as an individual, this experience is for you. Come as you are. Leave changed.
